Each luxury holiday home features a stunning, open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with spectacular double height floor to ceiling windows. A wood burning stove will keep you cosy in the winter months. Comfy sofas invite you to curl up with a book, watch a film on the 50 inch, flat screen TV with sound bar, or simply relax, unwind and enjoy the breathtaking views.
Doors lead out from the lounge to a cantilevered steel deck where you sit at the water’s edge, enjoy a coffee or glass of wine, and soak up Skye’s unrivalled scenery and wildlife. If you’re lucky you might see the local grey seals and resident otters as they play and fish along the shore.
Our kitchen areas are beautifully appointed with range cooker, double oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, wine cooler, washing machine and traditional drying pully – ideal for drying out hiking gear or sports clothes. Our large rustic dining tables are hand crafted from 100% recycled materials and provide the perfect place to enjoy leisurely meals with your family and friends and sample some local Scottish produce!
Each Tin Shed has three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and occupies the prime spot on the first floor, overlooking the double height lounge and with uninterrupted views of Loch na Cairidh. A fully accessible twin bedroom lies at the rear of the ground floor. Immediately above it is a second twin room. All beds are adorned with luxury white linen.
Each cottage has a fully accessible bathroom with a free standing rolltop bath and rainfall shower on the ground floor. There is a separate shower room with rainfall shower and toilet on the first floor.
The Tin Sheds are architect designed, super insulated buildings that maximise heat, light and space. Constructed from SIP’s panel technology with secondary cold bridging insulation, they have insulated concrete floor slab and are triple glazed throughout. The cutting-edge building fabric along with heat recovery and solar thermal systems allow the buildings to take full advantage of passive heat gains.
The Tin Sheds are located along our privately owned half kilometre section of coastline in Dunan on the east coast of the Isle of Skye. Dunan is 4.5 miles from the village of Broadford where you can find a Co-Op supermarket with 24 hour petrol station, pharmacy, Doctor’s surgery, post office and bank as well as a selection of cafes, restaurants, bars, take-aways and craft shops.
We’re located just off the A87, 11.5 miles from the Skye Bridge and 20 miles from Portree – an ideal spot from which to explore the Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands.
On site private parking is available for two cars per cottage.
